Ronaldo committed one of the most bizarre incidents in football that I can remember last week during ManU's last premiership match. He tried in vain to imply he heard the refs whistle... but i think no one bought that. And espn rerun the clip of that incident so many times but nobody could hear any whistle blown, whether from the referee or the stands.
I think he got a little off balance when one of the defenders gave him a slight nudge when he was jumping to head the ball. He kind of panicked and while trying to quickly think what to do to protect his precious face from the ball... he unconsciously did that.
I dont think there is something wrong with this guy.... but in one of the previous matched when he was substituted towards the end.... to end a rather subdued and ineffective performance form him.... he was clearly unhappy with the substitution and looked really pathetic on his way toward the tunnel.
I think he is overrated and will never repeat his performance last season. His stepovers and tricks no longer fool defenders. He was never, in my opinion, beautiful to watch.... hes more like an efficient German attacker with some tricks here and there.
It is just a matter of time before messi or robinho can become the best players in the world. Robinho i think has got more talents than Ronaldo.
